Within the last 48 hours we have lost a great friend, a great artist, and over all a great man, we unfortunately were not to close to Cadalack Ron but this has effected the whole community. The KOTD family has done an awesome job of showing their respect and appreciation for everything he has done. These were the kind words from KOTD’s Founder Organik .
“Rest in Peace to Robert “Cadalack Ron” Paulson. To his fans he was an amazingly talented battler and musician. One who didn’t run from controversy but took it head on. In this he was one of the most interesting and enigmatic figures in the battle rap culture. In his music he gave fans a glimpse into the life of who Robert Paulson was as a man. His struggles, his triumphs, his life was put out for the world to see. He truly was someone who put all of himself into his art, he earned incalculable respect from his fans for that, and helped many who identified with his struggles.
To his friends, and family, he was far more than just an artist. He was a friend, a brother, a son, and perhaps most importantly, a father. Cadalack Ron, entertained the masses and touched them through his art; but Robert Paulson touched the lives of those around him in day to day interaction. Though the entirety of the battle community will mourn his loss, our pain pales in comparison to the suffering those closest to him are feeling. Our deepest sympathies go out to those most affected by his tragic, untimely passing. Though we say goodbye to our friend, we know his memory will always live on through his art.
