Tre Matic and Nrk kick it gruff and smooth in the video for the track Dope Boy.
A package that runs just over four-minutes, Dope Boy shoots for simple trap style that works and achieves it. The auto-tune is present, but not overdone. The fast paced “slur-style” delivery is present, but also not overdone. This is great to see as in most cases, emcees feel like they can barely enunciate over a trap beat, slap auto-tune on it and make gold. Dope Boy, showcases the simple formula that actually works.
The audio production is up to par with quality standards. The brass-horn sample used in the intro really helps grab the listener’s attention before the meat of the track takes place, ensuring the ear of the audience doesn’t turn away at the start. The rest of the beat follows typical trap suit and the quality is consistent to the end.
