With a co-sign from legendary rapper, record producer and entrepreneur Birdman, it’s no wonder up-and-coming Toronto rapper Supreme Swiss simply called his newest single, “Up”.
Produced by Canadian duo HeavyWeightBangers (independently Chris Brown, Sheek Louch, Charles Hamilton), the song’s infectious beat leaves room for Swiss’ unique melodic style of rapping and a minimalist hook. “It’s our time just watch, I ain’t got no time but this watch. Never had cold feet, I double up on socks. Too ill, need a prescription, I double up on shots,” raps Swiss on the track, which serves as the first single off his upcoming EP, “LA$TWKND”.
While “Up” tells the story of Swiss and his team’s rise, of the Birdman endorsement the rapper says, “Getting a Rich Gang co-sign goes to show you that hard work never goes unnoticed. I’m grateful for the platform I’ve been placed on. I just gotta utilize this opportunity to its full potential.”
Swiss will have his opportunity when “LA$TWKND” drops on August 1.
