Toronto we’ve got something to talk about, Our hip-hop scene has been growing rapidly.. Although we’re still young and still have a lot to learn, We’ve had eyes on us heavily since Drake opened the doors and rapidly became one of the largest artists in the world.
Toronto has been the talk of the industry since 2016 ( All-Star weekend ) not saying we were represented the best during that weekend but it was a moment we need to remember.
Rolling Loud announcing a Toronto date is something we need to really take a look at and realize what’s happening, They see value within our market and our artists, the 3-day event happening Sept 9th – 11th has some of our most talented artists on the bill along with some of the worlds best artists.
Day 1 has the likes of Smiley, Da Crook, Moula 1st, PVRX, TV Gucci, Duvy & more
Day 2 has Pressa, Why G, Haviah Mighty, Lola Bunz & more
Day 3 has Pengz, 3M French, Tara Lord, Ramriddlz & More
This is just being a few of the Toronto artist’s on the bill but it’s a step in the right direction, Personally, I think they’re missing some very talented artists such as xheffie, LB So Spiffy, Pilla B, Buggz, HHChace, Blacka Da Don, etc. With this said it doesn’t mean as an artist you can’t take advantage of this situation within your own promotion.
Promotion wise if you focus on a large release this weekend with proper marketing strategies you’re bound to have some new eyes on you. Rolling Loud coming to the city is a major look not only for the city but for our community as a whole. Play is smart, this is chess not checkers and if you want to blow and become the next Tory Lanez or Drake you’ve gotta make the right moves.
I look forward to seeing our artists perform on a stage such as Rolling Loud this year and many more years to come, You can buy your tickets here.
