One of Brampton’s finest, Ray Hammond, has a PSA for the GTA; he’s coming for the game and he shouldn’t be reckoned with. Hammond dropped his Free Smoke freestyle and its already got a good few hits already.
The artist made a great comeback from taking a hiatus a few years ago, pulling from heavy hitters like J. Cole, HOV, OVO 40 and Pusha to name a few. Not only does Hammond look to these artists for sound, but how they build themselves up as artists and mirroring their different work ethics. He’s making sure fans have something to look forward to with his newest project “PHX” which he says will drop soon and have producers like Jevan Jervis and Soundoftj working on it.
PHX will represent a lot of the artists’ actions and thoughts about his own life; a fresh new start, a rebirth if you will of where he is aiming to take his music. Hammond is not here to be forgotten tomorrow, but to be similar to a phoenix; timeless and immortal.
