Isaiah Dreads has been dropping freestyles nonstop. With ‘Victory’ and then ‘Olympia’, the slick wordsmith is back with his most recent ‘Nothin’ But A Freestyle’.
The track is intertwined with punchy bars, a heavy bassline and disjointed electronic beats, which comes courtesy of Zeph Ellis. The visuals ooze a nostalgic vibe by combining analogue TV effects with white noise interference, re-creating the essence of old school grime videos.
Representing Dorchester, Dreads definitely puts the South on the map. This is his third release in the span of three weeks and each week he sets the bar higher.
Isaiah has recently torn up the Link Up stage at the Great Escape festival and performed at Glastonbury for the second time already in his short career. Through his relentless determination, at the age of just 15, he pitched himself as a local talent to the organizers at Worthy Farm who let him grace the stage and three years later at the age of 18 he was back to shut down Glastonbury again.
