Mitch – 20 Years

Liam Graham – WhatTheHYPE Track Breakdown

Mitch releases a different type of track with 20 Years.

Coming in at three minutes long, the track is more of an ambient monologue than song. Mitch goes on about his life lessons and experience in the entertainment circle, dropping knowledge about contradictory attitudes in the music business and not letting time waste in your life.

The audio production is quite ethereal, providing a thoughtful vibe that suits the lyrical monologue quite well. The hi-hat, kick drum and light synthesizer effects create and unusual rhythm that is strangely addictive. Much after the lyrics had finished I found myself stuck in a trance from the beat while it played out, so the audio does a good job of captivating you.

Overall, 20 Years is a well-produced piece of music. If you enjoyed the post, let us know with a like and comment below. Be sure to follow our social media to stay up to date with all of the great new content that comes out of the local Toronto scene.
