JEEEHZ, all 5 of these rappers came hard ! To start it off Jd Era gives us some disgusting punch lines, followed up by a hand full of shade he just threw at Raekwon. Jd Era give us some bars along the line of ” went from legendary to just money hungry for cash  ” , ” I hope Donald Trump wins just to deport his ass ” & ” between me and you that last album is trash” . Sese Comes on point as usual, with his book full of dragon ball z metaphors & similes , and a ridiculous flow that is not possible to copy. Young Stitch hits us with that type lyrics slim shady combined with some TeamBackPack type flavor, that leaves us blinded every time he drops bars. Raz Fresco, while u saw the video …. rapping with a message , and a flow that I haven’t seen many people pull of. Roshin gets your head bobbin with a consistant flow, but keeps you entertaining by playing with his voice based on his word play which is a rare skill. Lets just say … yeah Toronto’s got some talent..

INTERVIEW WITH DIRECTOR & EDITOR “JOE CASH”

“What is it like working with KOTD”

I love working with KOTD. I could sit here for hours and go on about each individual on staff and tell you how grateful I am and what they’ve each done to help me grow and learn, but that would be WAY to long and no one would read it haha. So what I will say is this: I would do absolutely anything for anyone on the staff without hesitation, thats how much I feel I owe to them. This last year was an exceptionally hard year for me in my personal life, and KOTD was what kept me grounded and moving forward. The knowledge I’ve gained from everyone, the people I’ve met and worked with thanks to KOTD, and the support they’ve given me in both my career and personal life has all been unreal. They’ve helped me grow so much and have trusted me with some very important projects, such as this cypher, and if you’ve met anyone one staff you know how humble and respectful everyone is. The fact is that the KOTD team LOVES what they do, and it shows in the quality of work and events. The staff works their asses off around the clock non stop to bring you the quality entertainment they bring. Seriously, like non stop working. It’s incredible to see. I’m honored to work with such amazing people. I owe them everything. Also, everyones pretty fun to just chill with haha, this is battle rap after all!

“What is it like working with all the dope artist that came through for the cypher”

As for the artists on the cypher, they were all great to work with, and came on point and professional, which is so relieving in this line of work, I’ve worked with some very unprofessional people in the past (outside of KOTD) with music videos and film projects, so when everyone is on point it just makes things run smooth with minimal stress. In my opinion all the rappers in the cypher killed it, and the whole thing went as smooth as I hoped and could have asked for. A few of the artists and I have discussed working on some projects the in future, so I think that too speaks on the level of professionalism surrounding this first instalment of the cypher series.

“Did u feel any type of pressure to keep up to KOTD standards when trying to direct , edit, and film the cypher? “

I always feel pressure to keep up to KOTD standards. Like most creative people (I’m a musician/singer/songwriter as well) I doubt myself ALL the time and am constantly worrying about failure and letting people down, but I think thats what keeps me sharp and what helps me progress further. I believe that if you’re not stressed out or feeling pressure, you’re not moving forward. But that being said, with the amazing team that is KOTD, the pressure isn’t too bad. DJ Docta produced this whole cypher, which is something I’m used to doing on my own projects as well as directing and editing, so he did an incredible job and that meant that I was able to focus on directing with the crew and talent, which makes it easier to maintain solid production quality and stay in the creative process as much as possible.

“How do u feel the Cypher video turned out compared to your vision before you shot it?”

This cypher turned out pretty much as we visioned, and I think it came out great, especially for our first one… and considering I’ve never directed a cypher like this before haha! Although that being said, we definitely learned a lot and know how to improve on it next time.

What do u have in store for the future?

As for the future, well with KOTD we have Blackout 6 coming up February 19th – 20th and we’re already starting the process of setting up the next cypher, I couldn’t say much more than that though regarding KOTD. Personally I’m going to focus more on my roll at KOTD this year, while still moving forward with my music video business, music, and film projects, and also focusing on my health. Focusing on work for these last few years and not taking the time to keep an eye on myself is starting to catch up to me, so I gotta take better care of myself before I burn out completely.

“Where can anyone who wants to get at you for a video or their next project get ahold of you at ?”
