Cas Cray gets filthy with the UK grime inspired track, Bless Up.

A two-minute treat of a track, Bless Up is a great example of what makes a UK grime track “filthy”.  For those of you that don’t know, terms like “filthy”, “vile” or even “disgusting” are good words to hear when critiquing a grime track.  The culture behind the music uses slang as such to describe great tracks of the genre.  The term has become overused throughout the years since grime made the jump from UK to NA back in ’08-’09, so it is great to see fresh tracks like Bless Up bringing some heavy flavour to an otherwise plagued genre.

Cray’s vocal work is intense and on point, with cadence similar to Ebow Graham from Foreign Beggars.  The pace is rapid fire as to be expected from the genre, and the style fits the frantic instrumental perfectly.  SlickJayBeatz produced the track and did an exceptional job at it.  The highs, mids and lows are all crispy clear as well, which comes together with the thick bass to produce a magnificent overall package that will make your brain melt if you are listening with studio headphones.  Whether you have headphone-cans or ear-buds the track is a high recommendation for listening.
