BrownGuy’s Top 10 Music Video’s Of 2016

0
2016 was a great year for Toronto, from artist’s getting signed to releasing some of the greatest content we’ve seen.
Here are my 10 Favorite videos I watch all the time, There are MANY MANY more videos that could be on this list but I could only put 10 up.
Let’s hope 2017 has even more great content & who knows maybe your video will show up on the 2017 list.

Dre Barrs Ft. Big Maine – Still Warnings
The Captured Films directed visual is one of my top 10,
Dre Barrs has been making moves for a while now, One of the dopest street artists to come out of Toronto, repping Ruff Ryders he’s definitely got a message to send.
The video is simple but represents both artists as they’re all about that Bike life.
Blacka Da Don – Money Walk

With the controversy surrounding this single, between Blacka & Lil Durk it’s not why it’s on the list. The whole reason this video is on the list is for the fact he’s involving the kids, the whole video is surrounding the kids giving them a lesson than they can be successful.
Pyrex – Make It

What can I say about this video? The visual is extremely well done & fits the record perfectly. When this dropped I had to watch it 5 times and my eyes never left the screen for the 4-minute feature. The message behind this record is strong, it’s something only some people can fully connect with and for those of us who can’t we can connect with that feeling through the video.
Safe – Eternity

Safe has been making a HUGE name for himself within Toronto and around the world, This video has some deep feelings in it, Eternity will put you in a feeling like no other.
Damien Cruise – The Showdown

Damien is a fresh artist but he’s definitely nothing like we’ve seen before coming out of Toronto, He’s got a unique sound and sense of fashion, the video is one of my favorites that I’ve ever shot. We’ve definitely got to watch out for this artist in the near future.
Ramone – YOU

Ramone is a unique artist from Toronto, Giving us some R&B hits. The Captured Films directed music video gives us a look into Ramone’s head and gives us a very touching song & visual. What really stands out in this video is the message we’re given to just take a second an realize how short life really is.
Shawn Kit – ABSTRACT

Another BrownGuy directed video but this one is on the list because of the message and cinematic behind this visual. Shawn Kit gives us a real look into his past with this one and tells the story so well you feel like you’re going through your own trials and tribulations.

Dread x Nappz – Nu Shit
Charlton Visual directed video this one is that real Sauga street video, being from Sauga originally this one holds a place in my favorites. The NMG boys have been coming at us hard in 2016 and that’s going to be no different now that we’re in 2017.
Tre Matic – No Days Off

The rodzilla directed music video is a true cinematic master piece, The record behind this video is one I play on a daily, No Days Off always working, if you’re needing a kick start to your motivation you press play on No Dayz Off.
Harvey Stripes – ON ME [ CMG Mix ]

Harvey Stripes has always been one of my favorite artists from Canada, He’s always about releasing QUALITY content – All of his videos are overly creative and everyone can vibe to.
This mix features Blac Youngsta, Hooks & Wave Chapelle if you’re not fimiliar with Harvey you should know that he’s co-signed by CMG and has many features with Blac Youngsta & Yo Gotti.
Honourable mention
EMP – Perfect Timing
With this group just coming out and taking over already, it’s why it’s gained  honorable mention in my favorite music videos of 2016,
The whole concept & sound to EMP is crazy and nothing like we’ve seen before.
