What started as a bucket list item became a full blown recording project.
This GTA father of 2 is a full-time musician. He yearned to explore, deeper, his love of hip-hop. Self-producing song by song his catalog soon boasted over 65 original instrumentals and thousands of hours of work.
Enter MaZ. A former drum student, he became the Jessie to Athair’s Walt. A studio wunderkind, MaZ meticulously recorded dozens of “test” tracks, smoothing out Athair’s nascent flow and crafting what would become the Athair trademarks.
“Student pushing the teacher” Athair boasts on the title track of his debut album, Late Bloomer.
“Welcome to Bolton,” a pseudo-love letter to his birthplace, is the first single and video from the album.
