Liam Graham – WhatTheHYPE Video Break-down
A. Mitch, otherwise known as Cheffie, gives us a short-but-sweet banger with Interlude.
A heavy track that comes in just shy of two-and-a-half minutes, Interlude sports clean, hard effects and beat production with a smoothly directed video to complement it.
Mitch’s flow and vocals are clean, with the audio dubbing on point and rapid visuals helping emphasize his style. The instrumental has a real “Shaolin-style” feel to it that would make Wu-Tang Clan smile, and Mitch’s vocals sound like a mixture of vocal traits from Jadakiss and Pusha-T.
Brownguymadeit did an astounding job on the visuals with smooth 4k footage connected by neatly cut transitions. Various panoramas mixed in with wide and tight angled shots of Toronto’s streets come together to create a beautiful viewing experience that complements the whole package nicely. Plus, the cemetery shots really go together with the ethereal choir vocal samples in the instrumental. In conclusion, Interlude sets the bar for high quality local music video production.
