South Weston rapper Princelatif hasn’t dropped any new music on his Soundcloud in 2 years, but earlier this week he returned with a new song titled “More Times”. It only takes one listen of this track to know where Princelatif is from, with his subtle use of slang, more so, the amazingly in-your-face Toronto tinged hook.
“WOAH, Bechu didn’t think that I would do that, No, More Times I’mma do it to em” looks plain on paper (or screen I guess), but when said in Princelatif authentic Toronto tone is very distinct. I swear this shit could have the most well-mannered folk belting the hook in a “Toronto Mans” voice in 3 listens or less. Catchy choruses aside this song is even more impressive if you follow along with his intriguing story telling and equally city sounding bars. Hopefully this signifies a renewed interest in rapping.
