Over the last year we have seen a lot of new faces emerge in the Toronto music scene, and if you have been to any of the local open mics, or local shows for some bigger artist in town for tour stops ,you have seen the local support openers. NRK thought grouped with this vast range of people stands out, why ? This video is only his second piece of work released in over a year, the first one being a short contest entry. If you have had the pleasure of seeing NRK live you know that he come’s stacked with a track list that could go on for hours for every show. I have even witnessed first hands his fans chanting and singing along with his lyrics, yet none only two pieces of work have been released , and he doesn’t usually perform them. It leaves us asking how has he done it , how has he created this buzz throughout the city without releasing more then 2 songs ..? In fact, this song & video were never planned, they were created in a time of reflection during the recent loss of NRK’s close friend and mentor Chad Bailey aka XVB , a local production genius. I can assure you that this is just the start of NRK getting the ball rolling, be on the look out for the new music he plan’s to drop soon.
