The Caribbean emcee Blacka Da Don shows off his creative storytelling with What I’ve Been Through.
Clocking in just less than five minutes, What I’ve Been Through is a thoughtful track centered on the life experiences of the emcee. Blacka, utilizes his smooth cadence to his advantage, projecting his lyrics well and with an even flow. There is an even mix of reggae crooning and hip-hop vocal delivery throughout the track. Also, the track was featured and played on the 40th episode of OVO Radio for 40’s birthday, so you know it’s going to be good.
Producers JMac and stwo produced the instrumental, and they did an exceptional job with the production. All aspects of the beat are clean and without clipping, and the beat is very utilitarian in essence which ensures a good chance of adaptability in regards to different flows for emcee’s wishing to remix the track. The variety of shots and angle-work in the videography assists in complementing the whole package nicely to deliver a great HD viewing experience.
