Badlook – Badlook

Toronto artists Badlook and Joe Cash come together in a good way in Badlook.

A shorter track, Badlook shines with it’s quality videography/audio production. Directed by KOTD videographer/musician Joe Cash and Badlook himself, the video sports clean cut, crisp varied visuals with smooth transitions throughout. The lyrics are clean in terms of clipping and general error, and Badlook’s projection and flow is up to par.

The subject matter of the lyrics focuses mainly on proper hip-hop attitude from what I gather, as the emcee makes a good effort to stress that hating on another talented artists skills and momentum is just a Badlook. The audio production is great and the beat sports more of a 90’s grunge feel as opposed to the usual narrative for Hip-hop instrumentals. I find it serves as a great testament to hip-hop cultures ability to mesh two styles together that one would normally not deem compatible.

In conclusion, Badlook is a quality track/video package that will most likely provide any viewer satisfaction. Enjoy the post? Let us know with a like and comment below.
